My almost 3 year old has been having trying to throw up a kind of small foamy sick for last 2 nights and his tongue looks like this. Also yesterday was complaining he was really cold, but was actually really quite hot to touch
Anyone know what it could be?

Could be oral thrush but also tonsillitis/scarlet fever causes a white tongue before it peels and becomes red and bumpy. Feeling cold but warm to touch I'd say he's definitely had a fever during this illness, if no improvement I'd take him to the gp.

Thankyou! Yeah I will be taking him when they open on Monday. He seems to have a very slight rash at the moment and has thrown up properly now

Aw poor little thing. I don't think oral thrush causes rash or proper vomit so I'd be more inclined to say scarlet fever or tonsillitis, is the rash making his skin rough to touch like sandpaper?

No not really just soft red bumps all over him! :(

I think it’s scarlet fever too. My daughter had the rash on her body, white tongue, crazy fever and the next day the classic strawberry tongue. A ten day course of antibiotics is needed.

@nonamemummy hi, sorry to jump on an old post. I was just wondering if you ever found out what this was? My little one has the exact same x
