Could it be urticaria? Has it spread? You could try piriton to see if it helps.

GlamGiraffe · 17/05/2019 20:35

What has he done today or yesterday? Has he laid on something on that side? On the grass or something or put something on his skin? Is hard to see the rash is it bumpy? Is it anywhere else?how about his neck and face?

moreismore · 17/05/2019 20:38

Urticaria most likely. It looks slightly bullseye-ish any chance he’d have had a tick bite? (Although I’ve never seen a Lyme rash that big)

moreismore · 17/05/2019 20:38

Ps is it itchy? Any other symptoms?

joliejoleen · 17/05/2019 21:04

Thank you for your replies!
It's itchy and it's on his back and sides. He's been at school, spent most of his time outside in the sun as the school just let them play after they finished SATS. He hasn't done anything out of the ordinary...

Id give a does of cetirizine and maybe some portion too if the cetirizine alone doesn't work. Shower the skin off first(don't sit in bath water or the allergen doesn't wash away). I suspect it's a pollen allergy. If it doesn't rain where you are give another dose of cetirizine tomorrow. Ask if he was lying anywhere today out of interest, carpet, mats, grass, will help you find out what he's allergic to. He was probably very hot arpund his body which is why it has irritated there. Hope it gets betterm
