My just turned one year old has a temp of 39c and is not well and I started new job today! My mum is an absolute superstar and has offered to have her whilst I go to work but I just find it so heartbreaking leaving her! But tomorrow is only my second day, it’s only a three contract but this employer is really relying on me and I hate to let people down. I feel like a terrible mother for leaving her but then I feel like a flaky empoyee.
I just don’t know what to do! Any advice please?!?!?

Go to work. She'll be fine with your mum Smile

Yes, go in, baby will be fine. You can always call and check in

Another vote for go to work - yes it feels like shit leaving them but your mum will look after your LO Smile

Go to work.

Now I'm usually the first to say kids should be with their parents when they are I'll and not in childcare, but she will be with your mum. Like you said you've only been there a couple of days. Go to work and don't feel guilty at all, she will be fine.

Go to work - she will be fine with your Mum. She will probably sleep most of the day anyway. Don't feel guilty!
If it was nursery it would be different, but I always think being with grandparents is like being at home. Mine have had the occasional sick day up at theirs, and it's fine.

Go to work and good luck in your new job.

Go, she’ll be fine with your mum and you can have plenty of snuggles when you get home.
