Stomach bug while on antibiotics

DS is on prophylactic antibiotics, he only started them on Thursday but last night started with a stomach bug. He can't keep anything down - I have him his dose of antibiotics last night and again this morning but they have both come straight back up again. I'm not sure what to do!

I wonder if it’s the antibiotics making him ill, not a stomach bug? Antibiotics kill off the natural microbial flora in the gut so that might’ve upset his stomach, leading to symptoms of a stomach bug. So you might need to find different antibiotics. Either way I think you need to get medical advice. Have you got a walk in clinic near you?

He's had the antibiotics before and been ok. Also someone in his class was sick at school on Wednesday and he started last night so timings are right for a stomach bug.

If he is vomiting the antibiotics won't be staying in his system, have a chat with the pharmacist and seek a gp appointed for next week when d&v gone
