Baby coldsore?

This has sprung up on DS's lip in the last half an hour he is quite dribbly and forever putting his hand in his mouth. I have only had a cold sore twice in my life and not for a few years, DH doesn't get the. DS is only five months so I know they can be risky, I've called the doctor and they are calling me back to see if they can see him today or tomorrow. He had a normal temperature and no other symptoms. He has been around a few family members over the last few days, not sure if any of them get coldsores but no one had a visible one.
Does this look like a coldsore?

Looks like a Milk blister to me, from vigorous sucking.

He did have some expressed breast milk about eleven thirty, the skin looks more raw in real life than in the photo. 111 just told me to call the GP the GP receptionist is on holiday so it's a temp and she's not as helpful.

I wouldn't worry too much, you might find its gone tomorrow morning. Unless he has a temperature theres prob not a lot wrong with him.

He's ever so cute btw. Smile

Was the milk in a bottle? Sometimes my babies would get milk blisters if they needed to go up a teat-hole size as they were having to suck too hard to get the milk out. Just a thought...

Thanks I think he's cute but I'm hugely biased! Doctor wants to see him tomorrow to be in the safe side. The milk was in a bottle
