Swollen cheeks but no pain?

DS2 is 10. Over the last ten days several people have commented that his cheeks look swollen - DH, DM, his friends. He says they are not hurting and his glands don't seem swollen.

My mam is convinced he has mumps. He is wondering if it is to do with his friend having slapped cheek last week.

He looks like a hamster. WTF is it?

I dont know! But I have a 9 yr old with pink cheeks ( see my thread) and no other symptoms-- what was your friend with slapped cheeks like? I mean was it pink for a long time or short time etc? thanks

I don't recall there being any swelling with slapcheek. Lasted most of a week I think.

I would more concerned about him having eaten it come into contact with an allergy trigger.

Has he eaten something odd or put anything new on his face? Do his lips tingle or anything?
