Feeling so guilty - 9 year sunburnt

My Dd visited the beach last week in Devon. I liberally applied factor 50 but didn’t insist she wore her hat all the time as I stupidly thought in April the sun wouldn’t be that strong. I was wearing a jumper the whole time so it didn’t feel that hot. I usually really obsessive about sun protection so I’m so cross with myself that the top of of her scalp looked pink the next day and today I noticed it’s peeling. That’s really bad isn’t it? I feel so terrible. Is there anything I can do now to improve healing?

Meh, it happens. Not much you can do about it now. You can get scalp and hair sunscreen as mine don't wear hats either

It happens! Don't worry.

Aloe gel will keep it from getting dry and itchy that might help.

I am dreadful for getting burnt even in cloud and had a few occasions when I was young of not reapplying cream often enough and having 2 layers peel off my back.
It's something that does happen and we learn from it, don't beat yourself up

I regularly got suburbs as a child. Shave screw miles but nothing dire. I wouldn’t worry about a one off sun burn.
