Any advice out there for 2 week baby who's constipated? We have tried massaging bum, working legs in bicycle movement and rubbing belly. She's pooing once a day but really straining thanks

Is the poo soft? Babies do put a lot of work into pooing at that age but it doesn't mean they are constipated

Yeah the poo is soft. She just seems to really struggle and gets very upset. Once she's had a poo she's completely different in herself

Breastfed or formula fed?

If the poo is soft and she's pooing once a day she is unlikely to be constipated. Babies like to strain and squirm because they are getting used to the new feelings and sensations of having a full bowel.

She's formula fed. Aptamil 3-4oz every 3 hours. No poop since Thursday night now 🙄
