10year old gets headaches almost everyday pls help

Hi

My 10year old daughter has been getting at least 1 headache everyday for the past 2 weeks, is this normal? I'm gonna take her to the gp tomorrow but seeking advice as I'm very worried it's something serious. Thanks.

Does she have any other symptoms?
Headaches can mean a lot- I think the main one with children is dehydrated but my daughter had a lot of headaches in the lead up to her diabetes diagnosis.
Of course that's a worst case scenario.
Is she stressed at all?

I had a headache pretty much every day until I was on my 20s. There was nothing wrong. I was just a headachey person. I grew out of it.

She drinks plenty of water coz I make sure she does lol. The only thing she does say is that light makes it hurt more, paracetamol does ease it abit. She isn't complaining about her eyesight so is it pointless taking her to get her eyes checked? I'm such a worrier and worry about the littlest things.

Of course you must get her eyes tested.

When I was at school I had a lot of headaches and it was my eyesight. Worth an eye test anyway I'd say.

Is it just when she's at school? Mostly after being in a classroom with the lights and writing on white paper. It could be something called Visual stress.

My DS was bit older than yours 12 when got lots of really bad headaches. Doctors said it was hormonal, appeared linked to periods in our case. Worth seeing doctor and eye test. Also read Pot Noodle can cause, that's more of a teenage thing, but just shows can be something minor.
