Constipation in 10 year old

My dd is 10 and complaining of constipation. She says she goes every day but feels that there's more than she can't get out. She doesn't say it's hard. She's very very fluffy!

She an incredibly fit child and competes/trains approx 14 hours per week at a high level in an sport.

Her diet is healthy with lots and lots of fruit and veg. She drinks over 1.5 litres of water a day.

I don't think I can improve her diet/activity. I've started giving her smoothies.

What low level meds can I give her?

My daughter said exactly this yesterday morning, those exact words! We gave her some Dulcosoft, I think it's called, I'll double check and come back to you. It's a liquid that you put into a drink and it doesn't alter the taste at all. My DD is extremely picky and would definitely have complained if there had been any difference in taste! By early evening she had gone to the toilet properly and felt back to normal. Hope this helps.

Yes it's definitely called Dulcosoft.
