Sleepwalking and icy cold shivering?!

Just that really! My ds6 has become a regular sleepwalker this past 6 months - happens 1-3 times a month and after getting over the initial shock of it I’ve become more aware of how acutely cold he is whilst it’s happening - not just cold but freezing cold to the point he is shivering violently. It’s bizarre as the house is always warm even in the night and he has his pjs on so I don’t understand where the cold comes from?! Once he’s snapped out of it he warms up immediately. Very strange! On a side note not sure if any relevance but he had an accident as well tonight which is a first whilst in the middle of a sleepwalking episode. Anyone else have similar experience or any ideas what’s going on?? Don’t feel I need to bother his gp about it but I am a bit baffled by it all!

My DS went through a phases of sleepwalking when he was about 7 or 8 (he's 9 now and hasn't done it for a while). We would find him wandering around the house in a confused state or sometimes find him fast asleep somewhere random. One time I found him weeing in the corner of his bedroom! He was usually cool, but sweaty/clammy.

I think it might have been related to him being desperate for a wee, but in a deep sleep and not able to wake fully to get up and go. If we took him for a wee (he was always reluctant and said he's just been) he would do a massive one then settle straight back to sleep. If we didn't make him go for a wee he would be up again half an hour later.

My dd was doing the same a few months ago, she was also very cold and shivering. I know your temperature drops when you’re asleep and just assumes it was to do with that. She’s stopped it for now. She would also be sick. It was horrible!
