Hi my 3 year old son came home from nursery with little red itchy spots on his ankles, a few on his arms and itchy ears on Friday.

Since then they have spread all up his arms, legs and are now coming out on his belly.

When ive been looking online it either looks like scabies or chicken pox? Ive attached a pic.

Im taking him to the drs tomorrow but just not sure how to treat it? He's been scratching like mad.

My older son (6) hasn"t got any spots or itching so Im not sure its chicken pox.

Any help would be great xxx

Looks like pox. Your 6yr old wouldn’t start to show them until about 10days time unless they caught from same source.

Antihistamines, paracetamol and oat baths.

Don’t take him to doctors, the last place chicken pox should be is doctors waiting room

So I wanted to post an update on this because I think it's ridiculous...

Phoned drs today, explained spots etc said I think it might be chicken pox. Gave me an appt and got seen by the senior Doctor.

Has a look over says its not chickem pox or scabies and doesn't have a clue what it actually is.

He has given me a prescription for NIT CREAM(?) Incase scabies do appear Confused which how will I know if I originally thought it was scabies.

Now don't know whether to keep him off nursery incase it's infectious as he's got it everywhere now.
