Desperately grateful for any help. Don't know what to do. DD (7) feels sick - but has done for 7 weeks now Shock started as stomach pain, now stomach pain and constant nausea (sleeps with bucket). Minor temp occasionally. Also an occasional headache, and keeps going pale. Worse straight after eating, reduced appetite. Lost so much weight some clothes don't look like they fit now. Been to Drs 4 times (or 5?). Pee test clear, blood test clear. Good iron levels, low markers for infection. First diagnosis Mesenteric Adenitis. Second diagnosis Migraine Tummy - 5 days into 2 sets of tablets for this and not better. Doctor asked me to give the tablets 2 weeks but it's killing me holding her as she cries. Has had ages off school, they kept sending her home so gave up. Please - any suggestions? What do I even ask the doctor next other than just begging for help?

Oh my god I'm so sorry to hear this your poor DD :(

Has the doctor looked into any food intolerances? Or allergies? Do the symptoms get worse after her eating anything in particular?

I would take her back to the docs hun and say you can't leave her like this for 2 weeks, or even take her to a&e.. maybe there they'll do a lot more tests? X

Thanks, dr didn't think allergies. I've left a message for the doctor and see what else they can suggest. Failing which I can imagine me staging a sit-in at a and e when she is worse again tonight.

Have they checked for Coeliac disease?
