Thread worms

Recently discovered my almost 3 year old has thread worms, I've just bought over to treat them but I was wondering can they cause diarrhoea? He's been having diarrhoea for a couple of days but only noticed the worms late last night

I've personally never heard of threadworms causing diarrhea. I'm pretty sure Ovex which is what we used caused my son an upset stomach and diarrhea though.

Oh it wouldn't of been that for my son yet as he has literally only just taken it
