Worried about my nephew

Been sick on and off since last January. Doctors originally thought it was appendicitis but this was later ruled out. Has known allergies but had testing for that and obviously avoids anything that causes a reaction.
Been to see a consultant and he said he felt it was due to stress/anxiety as my brother and his ex separated early last year.

Both brother and his ex have introduced him to their new partners these past few weeks. He was originally told they were separating last August.

Now the sickness has returned. They both say it is nothing to do with his emotions and that he is just a sickly kid who has a sensitive stomach and that he is very happy.

Who is right here? He is only 7 and I think the stress of everything is making him ill. Where do things go from here if he has been tested by the hospital, they say it is stress but both parents disagree?

Would he be a coeliac? My ds was constantly sick at that age and doctors could see nothing wrong so said school anxiety. Turned out to have rotten tonsils and poison was upsetting tummy. Never had a sore throat and never looked back once tonsils gone.

Wouldn't that show up in a blood test? He has had a barium swallow, Xrays as well as stool tests. All came back fine.

Yes that would show up coeliac. But not tonsils.

Blood test can give false positive for coeliac. The only way to definitely rule out is by biopsy so don't discount it.
