My lb started with a couple spots on Friday... Gp said possibly chicken pox but wait to see over a couple days...

We're now on day 4, he has a few spots, only ones he's itching are the ones on the back of his neck but he already has eczema there so it might not even be the spots he's itching, a few on his arm and maybe 6 on his tummy and where his nappy fastens, none of them have blistered.

He had a temp all day Saturday but since then has been absolutely 100% fine barring a snotty nose.

Im unsure whether it seems like chicken pox, iv kept him off nursery today but I don't know what to do about his next day which would be Wednesday, i can't just wait and see as my work need to know today

Doesn't look very chicken poxy to me tbh, best bet would be pop along to a pharmacist, they'll confirm or deny it for you.

My kids had chicken pox in January. They developed into obvious pox very quickly, within 24 hours of the first little spots appearing. If that’s day 4 I would expect them to have blistered by now.
