Ranitidine

My 5 week old has been prescribed ranitidine three times a day. She suffers with reflux at night mainly. May seem a silly question but should I give 9pm, 3am and 9am instead of 9am, 3pm, 9pm or should it not matter? Thanks in advance

Just because she suffers more at night time doesn't mean she needs to have it at night time, once it gets into her system it'll work day and night..
Stick to day times just to make ur life a bit easier.
It's amazing stuff!
And congratulations Smile

Daytime may be easier to remember too. Also watch out for constipation with it blocks my wee one up terribly

It's supposed to be spaced out roughly 8 hourly so, for instance, 9am 5pm, 1am but no need to wake a sleeping baby, just give it at the waking nearest to 1am.

I just gave it every 8ish hours (give or take an hour if sleeping or about to sleep). Giving it equally throughout the day worked better for us. Good luck, we had no side effects from it (but did need to go dairy free and have omeprazole as well).

With DS1 we gave it every 8 hours. With DS2 we're doing daytime hours only, at 6:30am, 12:30pm, and 6:30pm. This seems to be working just as well as doing it every 8 hours. Congrats on your new baby Smile
