Blood in sick?

This morning my 5mo boy went back to sleep after his first bottle. When he woke an hour later and I picked him up he was a bit sick down my back. I got a tissue to wipe it up and found that there was a glob of pale pink/brown mucous
He was sick again a few minutes later but this time it was green mucous.
He's always been a very snuffly baby but for the past week or so has had a cold and been extremely congested
Is it likely to be blood in his throw up and should I be worried and taking him to the doctors? I called the HV but she wasn't available

If a very bad cold its likely to he he has just swallowed some mucus. But at five months with any possibility of blood in his vomit call your GP. Mine would ask me to bring a child in straight away.

Due to his age i would be taking him to the doctors this morning. Normally it’s nothing to worry about if it’s a tiny amount but he’s so tiny and I’m sure it would put your mind at rest too

Thanks very much for both of your replies! I will give the doctor a call now and get him seen this morning! Wasn't sure if I would've been overreacting to take him but hearing others say they would really helps. Thanks!
