Congenital urethral stricture

Wondering if annoying has any experience of congenital (or otherwise acquired) urethral stricture, particularly in boys? My 20 week scan has shown up a big bladder - not off the charts, but big - and I have been scanned on 5 separate occasions without it emptying. Consultant suspects a stricture, although they appear not to be overly worried right now, so I’m going for more scans in a couple of weeks.

Initially I wasn’t too worried, then my mum asked me if his bladder could explode (?!) and google doesn’t turn up much by way of treatment either. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks in advance for your help
