My toddler is 18 months old and had a urine infection about a month ago, he was holding himself Nd also waking up screaming in the night .. and I noticed that his urnine smelt very bad it almost had a potent garlic sort of smell his whole room reeked of the smell for about three nights, he was put on anti biotics twice untill it was cleared just over a week ago. Now once again last night he woke up around three times upset and today I noticed his urine and his breath smells how it did before of a sort of garlic smell. He hasn't had any garlic and he has also been drinking 2 cups of water a day and a bottle of milk b4 bed. I read online that the smell of garlic in urine and breath could mean a liver problem or failure. Has anyone else experienced this. He does also seem to just be unwell quite a lot he catches things very easily. Does anyone have any advise or am I worrying for nothing. I will get another urine sample tomorrow and try and get him into the doctors hopefully in the morning just incase.
