5 month 2 week old crying for hours before bowel movement

Hi everyone just wondering if a tone has experienced this with their 5month old. Since yesterday she's been crying for hours before doing a bowel movement. As soon as she has had a movement she's right as rain! Her nappies are very full when she goes to so no obvious sign of constipation. I took her to the Dr yesterday who said she was unsettled because she was teeth, even though I explained she's been straining! She's formula feed and we started weaning 3 weeks ago because she was all over the place with her milk and just didn't seem to be content with it. Any help would be really appreciated xx

Hi just wanted to say I am in the same situation as you but after around two to three weeks it stopped. He does still cry if it's a little firmer than normal though but I think it's just their awareness that something has changed since being weaned .. that's my experience but there could be another reason, my boy was also really fussy hours before a bowel movement and sometimes still is :( but then I don't know if this goes with the teething around this age too
