DD asleep since Tuesday evening

Lauren1983 · 31/01/2019 14:38

DD has a bad cold and has been asleep since Tuesday evening. She has got up for the toilet and to drink but apart from that she has been sleeping. I've never seen her this ill before. At first I thought it was good she was sleeping it off but now I'm worried.

Call 111

NameChange30 · 31/01/2019 14:39

How old is she?
Have you called your GP to ask for advice?
I would call GP or 111.

PhilomenaButterfly · 31/01/2019 14:39

Seconded.

NameChange30 · 31/01/2019 14:40

Also have you taken her temperature and checked her body for any rashes?

allwalkedout · 31/01/2019 14:40

Yep, 111 asap

HandsUpHere · 31/01/2019 14:41

Have you checked her temperature? Has she eaten since Tuesday? I'd contact your GP and seek medical advice.

SnuggyBuggy · 31/01/2019 14:42

How old is she? That really doesn't sound normal

ChaosTrulyReigns · 31/01/2019 14:42

Definitely 111.

How old is she?

Thanks
INeedNewShoes · 31/01/2019 14:43

I'd phone your GP surgery.

Jackshouse · 31/01/2019 14:44

Sounds like flu. When did she has have a wee? Is she responsive if you try and wake her?

wigglypiggly · 31/01/2019 14:44

Poor mite, please call for medical advice.

YoloTF · 31/01/2019 14:44

I think 111 too.

I was in bed two days last week with a bloody horrid cold though. Still trying to shift it.

marmiteloversunite · 31/01/2019 14:45

My DD had flu before Christmas and she literally slept for four days. I was worried too.

Doyoumind · 31/01/2019 14:46

Gosh. I would call 111. That sounds very unusual and you want to be sure she's hydrated enough.

Lauren1983 · 31/01/2019 15:05

Thanks for the replies everyone. She is up now watching tv. No she hasn't eaten since Tuesday but has been drinking and have heard her wee. I will ring 111 and see what they say. This is so unlike her.

Oh sorry forgot to say she is five. She has had a cough although it is better today but she is saying her tummy hurts. She has tried to eat some strawberries and an ice lolly but couldn't.

smartiecake · 31/01/2019 15:11

Definately call the doctors or 111 she should have been seen by a Dr

NameChange30 · 31/01/2019 15:12

What's her temperature and does she have a rash?

Given that she is up now, and has been drinking and weeing, I wouldn't call 111 unless there are other causes for concern.

GP is fine.

StrongTea · 31/01/2019 15:12

Try and get a urine sample, poor wee girl.

Lauren1983 · 31/01/2019 16:03

I rang 111 and my gp is ringing me back after their appointments are done for the day. Thanks again everyone.

sofasandcoffeetables · 31/01/2019 18:10

How is your daughter now?

Lauren1983 · 31/01/2019 18:29

She has gone back to sleep. Doctor said it was good she is drinking and to keep giving her Calpol and if she isn't better in a day or 2 to bring her in.

OP posts:
sofasandcoffeetables · 31/01/2019 18:47

How do you feel she is?

Witchend · 31/01/2019 23:02

Ds did/does that with tonsillitis. Literally collapses where he is and stays asleep for between 18 and 48 hours. If he needs the toilet in that time he'll crawl there. If he's got a temperature or out for longer I syringe water into him.
Once he wakes he'll recover very quickly.
He's done this since he was about 3yo and I don't really worry about it now.

Creacaluaidhe · 31/01/2019 23:04

Poor little thing. I hope she improves Flowers
