Why would DD age 8 get heat stroke so easily?

Dd was out for sea walk in hot pants and vest top - didn't see any one else without a coat. At home this weekend she was only in knickers whilst rest of family in fleeces as not a warm house. In summer she passes out/vomits/gets heat stroke if she does sport in the heat but is healthy the rest of the year. She dreads summer and hates the heat. Is there a condition where you cant regulate body temperature? Is it something to ask GP? Concerned they will think I am wasting their time as she is fit and healthy most of year but we get continual comments at lack of coat/fleece especially going to school and summer is a nightmare as she wants to do competitive sports but gets heat stroke. Any one experienced this?

If it's having significant consequences or causing significant concerns you could see the GP to see if there are other features of a thyroid problem (overactive). If only these things in isolation it's likely just to be one of those things but I don't think it would be ridiculous to seek medical advice if you are worried.
