Hello,
DD has had a horrible bug. She vomited just once on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and has felt ill ever since. She was off all last week. Today she seems to be feeling better and starting to eat more normally. The troubke is she vomited again this morning. She has seemed fine since. Woukd you send her to school tomorrow? Obviously depending how she is feeling in the morning.
Thank you

No, I would give her one more day off.

The rule is 48 hours after the last episode of sickness or diarrhoea so I wouldn’t.

Casmama · 27/01/2019 20:02

No I'm afraid not. Give her another day off to be absolutely sure.

Adding info: DD is in year 8 and her attendance isn't very good. If her attendance was ok I wouldn't worry so much about another day off. If she feels rubbish in the morning I won't send her in. It's just if she feels fine it seems a shame for her to miss another day because she was sick the morning before.

We've had this on off for over a week with ds3. I finally thought he was well on Friday and he's been eating fine and now he's just chucked up again. So, I'll start the 48hr clock ticking again. Poor kid, he's getting cabin fever.

It's horrible isn't it. Let's hope they get better soon x

She needs to go to to the GP though at this stage and get a stool sample as a normal D@V would be over by now.
