Cleaning baby’s eye

DD has a slight cold, been to GP who has reassured me it’s nothing to worry about, but one of her eyes is very gunky a lot of the time. I’ve cleaned it with saline water and a cotton wool ball but is there anything more effective to use and how often should I be cleaning it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If you’re bf, then use your milk, or chamomile tea on cotton wool pad to clean the eye.

Are you breastfeeding? You can always squirt a bit directly in their eye and it may help

She’s FF- I’ve got some tea downstairs

Full fat cows milk with boiled water in and leave to cool - always cleared my DDs eyes up when she was a bit gunky!
