Pulsing vision

My ds (6 years) sometimes mentions that his vision is ‘going in and out’ as if objects are moving slightly. He isn’t in pain, and it doesn’t seem to bother him. He does have a tendency to exaggerate.
I am quite neurotic health-wise, and I don’t want to bother the doctor or optician (again) if it’s nothing (I’m trying to stay more calm about health issues and not run to the gp for every little thing). He’s been to the optician annually since he was small, and his eyesight is fine. They have done extensive tests on his eyes because he had a mild ptosis when he was little.
I’ve done a little googling and all I can come up with as possible causes are migraines or the twitching eye thing that you get when you’re tired.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Its probably that he's learnt how to consiously focus and then unfocus things, which can make them look like they are moving.

However, they is also a (very unlikely) chance that he's describing oscillopsia which usually a neurological symptom. Anyway, I would book a check up at the opticians. I personally would want to see him just to check.

Definitely a trip to the opticians! I have great faith in them.
