Verucca- salactol treatment advice please!!

Hi I’ve been treating my sons verucca with salactol for the past 12 days, first the hard skin around it turned white and tonight it has fallen off and what is left underneath is sort of soft fleshy white stuff which I’ve picked at a bit with tweezers but which also looks much bigger than his original verucca looked! Just wondering if anyone with experience of salactol knows if this is normal and if so do I keep applying the salactol? Thanks in advance! I’ve attached progress pictures to explain better 😆 the last picture being it’s current state!

The white stuff is dead skin. I'd stop applying salactol and leave that alone now, looks like the verucca is dead.

Hi thanks for replying, I’m not totally sure it’s dead, the white stuff under it looks like the stuff inside a verucca - thread like if that makes sense, I’m going to see what happens in the next couple of days 😬

I too would leave it alone, it looks dead.

If anyone is reading this with a verucca I have used nail varnish very effectively to treat one. Cover every night - I used white for a month then red. I think red works better as it lifted and then fell off. Ds refused to file it or pick off the nail varnish or it may have been quicker.

It was the red one in the m and s advent calendar if anyone is interested! I never wear nail varnish but it’s great on veruccas.
