27 month old sickness

My 27 month old started being sick at 4am this morning, he has had a dry tickly cough for about a week previously (has been having Tixylix and Calpol) however, cough seemed much better so he didn't have any last night. We got up at 6:30am after about three bouts of sickness (about a tablespoon each time) he was then sick again just after 7am then slept till 10:30, woke up and promptly threw up again, he again has been sick and cries each time. I have googled! And it's advised if he not his usual self (well obviously not as he has been sick!) However, he was running around this morning but has now become tired and looks pale. Apologies for the essay! Any advice appreciated thankyou

Sounds like a tummy bug. Rest and fluids.

Sounds like a normal bug. It's normal to be pale and tired when sick

Keep an eye on him, drink is more important than food.

All kids go through bouts of sickness and usually just need a couple of quiet days at home to recover.

However, you know your child best if he becomes very unwell and is unresponsive then seek proper medical advice.

I don’t give mine any food and only sips of water till big passed. Maybe 3/4 hours after last vomit. If you do it too soon they vom again. Only give plain white toast or crispies or rich tea biscuits as first foods.
