I have put this here as i dont know where else to put it. I have a none verbal (he isnt diagnosed with anything yet) 2 and a half year old who has had a hypospadias repair 2 weeks ago. It was going to be two stage but the surgeons managed to do it in one. At the moment every nappy change he screams and gets very distressed at the sight of himself. It's even worse at bath time and the whole thing has been very traumatizing to him ie he has scratched himself sore up his arms, back of his neck and he pulls at his ears till they are sore. I have no idea what to do to make things better for him and where to get support for this sort of thing. I have tried covering it up during baths and nappy changes but he still gets very distressed. Any advice would be appreciated!
