Hi my 9 month old baby has had the flu for just over a week now I caught it off him and have recovered now but he is still ill and he is also vomiting and has an upset stomach, I have been to the doctors and they have told me to just wait it out with him unless he stops drinking water then I should bring him in I’m just concerned as I have never seen him like this and wondered if anyone else has been through this?

Just bumping for you. Is he eating anything? Temp still? Don't be afraid to take him back. Flu is awful, hope you are both better soon.

He won’t eat any solids and usually he can’t get enough of food, he will take milk every now and then but isn’t to keen, Iv never seen a baby with the flu so I don’t know what’s normal 🙈 I just want to know he will be okay

Is he having water? Keeping it down?

If you want him to be seen by someone else then just do it. He’s only 9 months and you know him best.

Are you sure it's flu? How's his breathing, is he coughing lots? If he's been sick a lot after feeds I'd be taking him straight back to the GP if you felt his condition was deteriorating. There's lots of RSV and bronchiolitis around at the time of year and little ones can go down hill quickly. I wouldn't worry about solids as long as he's getting plenty of fluids.

Does he have a temperature OP?

If so, don't hesitate to get him seen again because a week is a long time for a baby to have a temp. Even if a doctor checks him and says 'it's just a virus he's fine' - who cares, at least your mind will be a bit more at ease.

I understand how worrying it is.
