Do chicken pox always blister?

DD has chicken pox since last Sunday. Doesn't seem to be too bad and she def has some scabs now. Quite a lot of the spots have been red for four days or so but show no sign of blistering. Do I need to wait until there is no spots of just no pus before taking her out? Is it possible some will just disappear without blistering?! We are meant to be put with friends tomorrow!
