Ongoing infections

My DS is 2 years old and from the age of 12 weeks has suffered from various conditions, weight gain issues and too many infections.
I am getting very concerned that I am just being given antibiotics every time sometimes one prescription rolling in to another.

My husband and I are getting worried it is something more but don't know where to turn or what to do. We also don't want to seem like paranoid parents but cant help the sinking feeling. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

TIA

Children’s immune systems are still very much developing at that age, so it is not uncommon for young children to have frequent infections. We have a daughter with an immune disorder, and In terms of looking for indicators that might be suggestive of underlying issues, it would be things like the type of infection and where, the severity of infection in terms of needing admission for IV antibiotics etc, and the type of organism they grow.

Ask your gp for a referral to a paedatrictrion for some investigations
