Alveolar Bone Graft (ABG) Surgery

Hi
My DS is 10, and has been offered Alveolar Bone Graft (ABG) Surgery. It has been a shock, as he has no obvious issues with his lip since his operation at 8 months old.
any one with any adviCe??

have a look at the gosh fact sheet

nopersonal experience with a graft in that area, but dc was considered for a graft on the leg (wasn't needed in the end)

Thank you red summer shoes.
The whole thing (operation, taking bone from his hip, over night stay, week off school) seems a bit dramatic tbh
But then again if he needs an operation, it has to be done, whilst hes this age, and his bones are still developing..
