Take out private care to get Dd checked?

My DD has a large, hard, bony feeling lump on her ankle (interior, in addition to a standard ankle bone). Sometimes, at least once a week, it hurts and aches so much she needs painkiller and white linament oil applying to it. At those tomes, she struggles to put weight on it. She's a tall, slender, healthy girl of 12. I'm worried.
Took her to GPS ages ago and he said standard ankle bone.
I'm not happy and try as i might cannot book a bloody gp app.
I've been quoted £100 per month for private care for me and dd (i just want her examined, x-rayed, checked out) .
I work pt bringing home 850pcm. If i get this , can she be seen and examined soon and at a convenient time for us?
Advice please.

You could save the money, go to Urgent Care, and have them refer you. The growth will be beyond their expertise and so they’ll have no choice but to do it.

Sounds to me like a ganglion ( google it - sorry, am BFing so typing is hard). I get them. Very painful. They go away on their own in time.

Just throwing this in there and may be totally wrong but is it worth having a chiropodist look at it? They take care of feet don't they? And would be a lot cheaper than going for a private assessment!

Kemar MH ds has flat feet and at its worst his feet looked like they were on the wrong legs 😂
A lot of areas you can self refer to services like podiatry through nhs so worthwhile looking into that as first port of call

Aww i'm so pleased I could help. The insoles should help and it's a good strange fact to have about yourself.

I actually only realised I had it this year! I thought it was normal foot shape. I knew my aunt had an extra foot bone from an x-ray she had years ago but only connected the dots this year that this is what I had. Checked my two kids, they have it too!
