So strange !
Only happens when he is in the bath ..plain water no soap added..only appears along the water line .. appears in alsorts of patterns ... completely disappears when he gets out ?..
Can’t really take him doctors unless I show them a pic ?

That looks like hives which normally appear as an allergic reaction to something. My DH used to occasionally get them when he was cold.. Maybe the contrast between hot water and cold air is triggering it?

It seems to be some kind of ration .. I was thinking a type of heat rash or allergic to something in the tap water ?

Agree with Neolara. My ds used to get bright red reaction on his skin when in bath, disappears afterwards.

I would take a photo and show it to GP, just in case, if you are worried.

Ds1 used to get a rash in the bath but it stopped when we moved house 🤔 I assume it was something in the water and now we must be on a different water supply because it hasn't happened again in the new house.

Could it be residue from the cleaning product you use left on the bath?

Haggisfish · 29/11/2018 21:10

Have you tried a much cooler bath?

Fettuccinecarbonara · 29/11/2018 21:14

Urticaria

My friend gets it whenever she is wet!

Haggisfish · 29/11/2018 21:23

Could also be sensitivity to hard water but I think it will be heat triggered. Ds has very like warm baths for similar reasons.

I think hard water/heat can be the cause, as Haggisfish says. My ds don't get it anymore, after we started using bath milk prescribed by the allergy doctor. But do occasionally get it if it's too hot.
