few months ago I noticed my 2 year old lips would go blue after having a bath but since end if October on way to nursery she always has blue lips (obviously I wrap her up warm) today she woke up from a nap with blue lips too. I'm a bit concerned as don't know what it could be she's quite petite but has been told she's got a slight heart murmer bit can only be heard when she lies down flat. thank you x

Take her to the GP, that needs looking into I think. Fingers crossed you get some reassurance - but I suspect that reassurance needs to only come after some extra checks (probably including referral).

Hi there - we have this with our now four year old. I have seen about 3 -4 doctors now as the nursery were noticing it too and were very insistent that I get a second opinion. Apparently it can be normal for some children (including mine) and they will probably grow out of it. To reassure you none of the doctors we saw were remotely concerned but I would get it checked out just in case there was some other underlying cause.

Mine gets it when she gets cold. She was rushed to the doctor by nursery one day and I was all panicked till it happened again on a cold day and I remembered that that her lips look like that sometimes.
