Heya,
We went to paediatrician today and he noticed a 'rattle' in his heart and heart murmur and said it's mitral valve... just wondered if anyone's else's LO's had this and what kind of things will happen or need doing?

I was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse as a child, I have a murmur and trivial regurgitation, it has never given me a problem so far, there is also Mitral stenosis that causes a murmur too, that normally needs treatment in childhood.
My daughter has a abnormal aortic valve and she is currently just being monitored every two years.
Is you child being referred for an ECHO as that will show what is going on.
