Formula prepared the wrong way

My LG is currently 7 weeks old and my aunt was to exclusively breastfeed but due to low supply we have started supplementing /topping up with formula at about 2 weeks old. It's mainly my partner that makes up the bottles so he can feed. I walked in to the kitchen last night while he was preparing a bottle for our LG and saw that the scoop size he puts in is ENORMOUS. It's not even heaped, it's more like twice the size. I immediately told him off and he said that's how he's always made her bottles. I'm now worried that these ridiculous proportions may have hurt the baby and messed up her digestive system or stomach or something. I know it can be very dangerous and I also know that it wasn't a one off either. It was almost every bottle she's had.

Please advise. TIA

Well it's done now and your baby is presumably fine so don't worry about it.

Maybe sit down with him and read the carton together and make sure he understands how to make them safely from now on.

they will be fine as long as you fix this mistake strait away. The risk is that to much formula to water ratio will make a baby dehydrated or very thirsty. Its probably a honest mistake by him just say whilst i appreciate you making bottles next time do it like this or they will get very thirsty if you put to much powder
