Liquid paracetamol help - hyperactivity

Can anyone recommend a paracetamol suspension that won't make my 2.5 year old hyperactive or give her horrendous wind? I know the question has been asked previously but the only threads I can find on this are ten+ years old and have out of date advice.
I do have some paracetamol suppositories but after trying them last year led to lo being terrified of having her nappy changed I don't know what to do for best!
We have Lloyd's pharmacy sugar and colour free suspension but it's like she's on speed or something after having it, which isn't really helping her get better. I wish I knew what ingredient is causing the hyperactive behaviour, not sure if it's the maltitol or something else.

Artificial sweeteners maybe. Do you still get them with sugar instead of sweeteners?
