Possible Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Ds2 is 11. He's had a sore throat, enlarged glands in neck and fatigue for 2 months. Consistent each of the 4 times he's been examined by GP. Blood test for glandular fever was negative, nothing of concern on 2 blood tests (some slightly raised results put down to allergies).

GP has now referred to paediatrician due to length of time it's been going on. She mentioned Chronic fatigue syndrome was her concern.

I know I need to wait for the appt, but I wondered what will likely happen when he gets seen if he hasn't improved. More tests?

His school attendance is hovering around 90%. School have so far agreed to excuse him from participating in PE but he has to get changed and act as assistant, collecting in equipment. He saying he struggles in Design tech as using the equipment tires him out. At home he is pretty miserable, very tetchy and sleeping a lot.

Any advice/experiences appreciated
