3yo DD picking lips

DD3 has been getting dry chapped lips since the colder weather started. She picks them CONSTANTLY. They have been bleeding and there’s now a blister in one corner of her mouth which I’m worried is a cold sore or similar (no one else in the family gets them). She won’t have moisturiser or Vaseline on and doesn’t even seem to realise she’s doing it half the time.

I’m at my wit’s end with it. They’re sore, they look awful, and I’m worried she’s going to end up with a horrible virus or infection or something. I tell her to stop whenever I see her doing it but she also picks in bed.

Help/advice please?!

its a horrible habit- and i still do it now Confused, i have tried hard to stop but its a bad habit.

try putting these on her at night time link and then smothering her lips in burts bees lipbalm. she will find it much harder to pick them then.

during the day, tell her every time you catch her picking them. and put lipbalm on her every hour, even if she licks it off.

all the best and i hope this helps x
