Baby pooing ALOT!

My baby is now 5 and a half months old and is formula-fed and recently the past few weeks she’s been pooping a lot more. Sometimes up to 6/7 times a day and they’re mainly explosive ones.
She used to be quite regular once or twice a day but it’s just become a lot more often very quickly.
My mum has suggested she is maybe beginning to get ready for food to help bulk her poop up more but she isn’t showing any other signs of being ready yet.
I’m seeing my HV tomorrow for her weighing so will ask her then but was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

My dd is 7 months and her poops are pretty explosive. She is a chunky baby (12-18 math clothing) but only poops once every two days. All I would say is just keep an eye on her nappies if you can to make sure her nappies are still getting wet (weeing plenty) babies can dehydrate more easily than grown ups. Your hv will hopefully be more use though. My daughter hardly poops as she wants to keep every ounce of milk we give her for herself Grin

My DD used to have between 5-10 explosive poos a day. I raised my concerns with the HV on numerous occasions and went to the GP. I was told on countless occasions "some babies poo more than others" ... she was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy at 14 months.
