7 year old with cradle cap!

DS is 7 and was fortunate enough not to suffer from cradle cap as an infant but over the last couple years has suffered from it on and off. Can it caused by a brand of shampoo? I’ve figured out that it seems to be after using L’Oréal kids shampoo! To be fair I should of been more cautious using this. The adult stuff makes my scalp itch.

Best treatment for an asd 7 year old who doesn’t like his hair to be fussed with. Hates hair cuts but doesn’t mind shampooing but not keen on brushing but we get it done.

Advice?

I find that when doing the nit combing with nitty gritty comb and loads of conditioner it shifts lots of it.

Head and shoulders works well. But be careful as the scalp is then sensitive to sunburn, although not really a problem at the moment.

Thank you. I actually have a nitty gritty on the way as my current one has disappeared. At first I thought the itching was from head lice but then i found the dry scalp (it’s not obvious unless you look closely).

Mine both had it when wee. The dentinox shampoo worked well. Decent amount on your hand, lather it up well, leave it all foamy for five mins then rinse.

Thanks I was thinking of trying head and shoulders 😊

I have some Dentinox but didn’t find it worked well when DD had it but I will give it another go!

My daughter's cleared up overnight after the first time we used Aveeno baby wash. Worth a shot (and it's half price in Boots at the moment)

Can highly recommend Nizoral shampoo. Can be bought in most chemists. Bright pink but usually brilliant!
