Four month old with bad cold and sleep

My bbay has his first cold (first baby). He was sleeping well before hand but now is up every two hours and seems to struggle sleeping as he's coughing himself awake. He has bags under his eyes as he's tierd but can't sleep. I've been to Dr and they think he's okay. What can I do to help him why some sleep?

Poor thing. You can try a few things, some of which you may be doing already.

-snufflebabe rub on his chest
-prop up the head end of his cot so the mucus drains with gravity
-calpol vaporiser plug-in in the bedroom
-sit him in a steamy bathroom to help clear the airways
-saline nasal spray or drops, and if he will tolerate it a nasal aspirator to suck out the snot

Hope you both get some sleep soon.

Me too, dp is having a strip as I asked him to take him this time as i need a rest.
