Has anyone given their lo vitamin d drops and baby have a reaction like gassy, diarrhoea, reflux? I gave my 3 week old vitamin d drops via dropper and he was coughing and spluttering. Later he was struggling with eating, he's had some diarrhoea and very gassy, he had some bubbly saliva too and very sleepy. This is my third child but the only one advised to give these drops to (a new recommendation). Takin him to the dr, just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this. Thank you.

I live in the Netherlands and here Vitamin D drops are given daily to all children newborn to 4 years old. I have never experienced such reaction, good you are seeking professional advice, hope your baby feels better soon

I didn't expect a reaction like that either but took him to the dr and he's absolutely fine. I think it was just me over reacting. Dr said he probably didn't like the taste and he let us know about it. Say he may just be starting colic early so not at bad as I thought.
