Teens nipples

My daughter is 13 and her breasts are a normal size 32B. I noticed tonight whilst she was undressing that one of her nipplrs( areola) is really quite blue/ green! It's like this more or less permanently. Does anyone know if this is normal? It's obviously the vein underneath but I've never seen it before and I'm worried as its very obvious.

Gp appointment if you're worried, always best to get things like this checked by a doctor.

I'd see a GP for check up and reassurance.

Hi there OP,
We have moved this from AIBU to Children's Health, which is a better fit for this question.

CoffeeShortbread · 03/10/2018 10:03

If you have a health concern about your child, go see a GP.

Your daughters’ bra size isn’t relevant to the thread.

Realjournal123 · 03/10/2018 17:43

Coffee shortbread- I think it says more about you than me if you think it's odd to mention her size! I merely mentioned it because they're a normal size- as in not too large, uneven or very small!

Take her to the GP that's the best thing to do

What a strange comment coffee shortbread. I'm sure the op will talk to her daughter about going to the GP but maybe she doesn't want to worry her or make her think it's abnormal so is simply asking advice on a health forum which seems totally appropriate to me.

OP, have you mentioned this to your daughter? Is it always like this?

Realjournal123 · 04/10/2018 10:37

Thankyou PJ67. Yes we have discussed it briefly and you're right, I don't want to worry her as teens have enough on their plate, so to speak. She hides it when she's in the bath and doesn't really want to show it of course. Yes it's like this permanently and looking back, she had it slightly as a baby/ child but since her boobs have developed, it's got a lot bigger. I've made an appt at the doctors but it's not for two weeks. It covers most of her areola and a few nights ago, it looked bright green.
