Stretch marks on DS

I've attached a picture. I was so shocked when I first saw them. He turned 13 this week and is very tall at 6ft.

Should not have googled. Now I'm nervous about Marfan syndrome. He's not overly flexible.

Any advice?

Ds developed similar around same age, it looked like he had been beaten! He is hyperflexible so no idea if it was related.

DH and DS have them. They fade to silver lines. Neither have joint problems

Looks like the back of my DS who is 16! Appeared last year but are very slowly fading. He's shot up to 6ft in the last year so I presumed it was so to rapid growth spurt.

Thanks for the reassurance. It seems it's common, phew! Panicked for a moment.

It can depend on your skin type. DS1 has none despite growing very quickly but both DS2 and 3 have them. I wouldn't worry on stretch marks alone. My poor tummy is covered!

I was shocked to find I had stretch marks at about 13. They did fade I can barely even see them now (inner thighs) but was so conscious at the time. I've since learnt that it's really common in growing teens.
