Dd has had what the gp described as a ‘profuse bleed’ after a poo. Looked like a haemorrhage!! No straining or constipation and absolutely no pain. Referred as urgent to hosp. Consultant has ordered blood tests and stool tests. Physical examination clear. Couldn’t give me any idea what it could be. Just said ‘it’s a worry’. Dd is on long term steroids. Could this be a reason?! The consultant couldn’t give me any idea the cause. Mentioned she’d probably need a colonoscopy. But we would wait for test results to come back first!!
