Any tips for HFM or similar with a 2.5yr old?

Just that, really. He's miserable, not eating, not sleeping and we can't get bonjela anywhere near him

Sorry writing in bursts as he's napping fitfully on me. We have taken him to GP (HFM or similar virus), and have him on calpol and ice lollies. There's CP at his nursery but this doesn't seem to be that. He keeps waking up crying or trying to eat and crying. It's heartbreaking. How long does it last?

My DS has had it twice, the first time was awful but luckily second time it seemed mild. Second time round I would give him Calpul and piriton and that helped with his sleep.
