I'm exhausted!! My baby girl has her first cold. It's not a really bad one, she just has a stuffy nose. This came on middle of last week. She has been fine up until last 3 days. She just wants to sleep all day and be up all night. When she does sleep she wants to be on me, if I put her down she scream. Poor little thing, I feel terrible for her.

The bed time routine has gone out the window and I feel terrible I have worked so hard to establish it, someone pls tell me it won't last forever?

So far I'm using a nose Frieda with spray to clear her nose, have a humidifier on in the bedroom and giving her some calpol when she totally loses it.

Any other tips to make her feel better and help her sleep at night?

Thanks xoxo

Saline spray for nose, snuggle babe on chest and back, keep feet warm.

Also if the is a lot of phlegm - place baby on tummy or over you lap and very gently but rhythmically tap over the back focusing between shoulder blades.

This should help break it up.

Another tip is take them into to the bathroom when you have a really steamy shower on x

Calpol plug ins are the best invention ever.
Snuffle babe all over the chest and back and soles of feet
Calpol or Neurofen for bedtime
Warm bath with menthol bubblebath
Saline spray just before bedtime bottle/boob
Baby olbas oil drops all over sleeping bag/pj's

Tilt the cot/mattress so they're head is raised slightly so the snot doesn't back up. Snuffle babe vapour run on chest, calpol plug in, calpol and nurofen, saline spray. My DS has a cold right now and he's not been settled either. Good luck!

I totally agree about calpol plug ins being the best invention ever! You def need to try them they make such a difference. Last all night instead of reapplying olbas oil every hour! The light is a pain but a small sacrifice to pay for a good sleep!
